News 31 July 2007 - ALL SYSTEMS GO, SAYS BAXALL DISTRIBUTION BAXALL Distribution, which is owned by Perth tech house QR Sciences, says the recent demise of Baxall UK will have no impact on its local business. “This event is irrelevant to Baxall Distribution in Australia given we are wholly owned by QRS,” explained Baxall Distribution’s Paul Thompson. “And thanks to our large product range sourced from companies like Sanyo, Mitsubishi and Samsung, we see this having no real impact on our revenue projections either. “At present we’re enjoying strong interest in our just-released QVS brand and we’re pushing ahead with the expansion of existing product lines, as well as the development of new partnerships across a number of new market segments.” Thompson said the industry should stand by for some interesting announcements with several major wins expected to be announced in coming months. The local announcement comes after KPMG Corporate Restructuring in Manchester was appointed as administrator to Baxall Limited in the UK last month. Baxall Limited was a Stockport-based designer and manufacturer of CCTV equipment for the security and surveillance industry that employed 150 staff.
